The St Vincent's ECMO team provide ECMO support to St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne and St Vincent’s Private Fitzroy which exist on the one campus. The service provides VV and VA ECMO as well as select eCPR applications.
There is a strong focus on providing early, high quality peri-operative evaluation and support for high risk or complicated cardiac procedures as a collaborative multi-disciplinary team. The ECMO service is run by the Intensive Care Unit but works closely with Cardiothoracics, Cardiology and Cardiac Anaesthesia.
The current ECMO Director is Steven Musca and ECMO Nursing Coordinators are Jacqui Regan and Melissa King. They provide ongoing management and education of the wider ICU ECMO team.
